Animal Welfare

Animal welfare

It is the policy of Rangeland Foods to actively promote Best Practice in Animal Welfare. As a minimum, all meat suppliers/supplies will be required to comply with the requirements of the Irish Food Board (Bord Bia) Beef and Lamb Quality Assurance Scheme. The scope of this standard includes animal welfare on the farm from date of birth as well as transport and slaughter. Implementation of this standard will be verified during regular supplier audits.
